These projects aim at raising the
education level of the children so that they can keep on their studies if they wish to and
have access to a wider range of jobs.
> Evening Tuition
School support for around 150 children between 5 and 16 years old (3rd to 12th standards
and English medium students), every school day between 5 PM and 8 PM with five to six
Tamil teachers.
> Bridge Course
Program for 15 children that have left school with the objective of reinserting them in
the school system (project running under the supervision of the "Block Resource
Center" - Education Department of Cuddalore). It happens every school day between 10
AM and 3 PM during 8 months with two tamil teachers.

Correspondency program
Special spoken english classes and workshops
aiming at developing the English communication
skills of the children and allow them to
exchange with two classes of children from
a French school of the Ile de Ré
(an island in the western Atlantic coast).
Around 30 children are concerned in France
and in Thazhanguda. One Tamil teacher and
an assistant run the classes and the workshop
every school days.
Considering
the success of the exchange and the involvment
of both the children and our partners, we
plan to extand this correspondancy program
to other french and indian villages and
schools.
